I’ll Die For You.
(2008 — present)
Inspired by my paternal grandfather, Hussein - a farmer in Egypt’s Nile Delta - I’ll Die For You is a visual meditation on the bond between man and land. With underlined themes around identity, belonging, survival, grief and love, it explores a way of life where the fate of man & land is intertwined as one.
Spanning more than fifteen years, the series so far unfolds across Egypt, India, Nepal, the West Bank, Peru, Malawi and the United Kingdom, tracing the shared emotional and political landscapes that bind communities and hold memory, sustain life and shape identity.
