Ten years after the spark of the Tahrir Square protests, I returned to the photographs that shaped In the Shadow of the Pyramids. What emerged was a newly reimagined edition, a meditation on memory, resistance and the quiet erosion of time.

It rose from a deep sense of responsibility: to honour the act of witnessing, to hold space for a defining chapter in modern Egyptian history and to preserve a memory that continues to shift in our national and emotional landscape.

Pang'Ono Pang'Ono

Pang’Ono Pang’Ono, meaning little by little in Chichewa, reflects the quiet endurance of women in Malawi and the weight they carry in the simple, essential act of seeking clean water. The phrase, spoken often as a reminder of patience and time, becomes here a metaphor for the rhythm of this story: steady, unhurried and profoundly human.

A Star in the Sea

A Star in the Sea is an invitation to embrace the unexpected. A quiet unfolding of three intimate moments that shaped my understanding of love, origin and the fragile space where intuition meets experience. The photographs, words and title emerge from three personal encounters: a love story, my first and only return to my place of birth in the UK and a fleeting vision on a beach in Italy.

The book is conceived as an object that invites closeness: something to hold carefully, protect and return to in quiet moments. Each copy is enclosed in a custom handmade Batik pouch, underscoring its tactile, intimate nature.

A Star in the Sea Box Set

The A Star in the Sea box set is a rare and deeply personal collaboration between my mother and me, an artist-to-artist dialogue shaped through fabric, touch and memory. Conceived as an intimate extension of the book, each box is wrapped in handmade Batik fabric created by my mother, transforming every edition into a unique work of art.

Offered this season as one of the most special pieces from my studio, this edition is both an heirloom object and a celebration of artistic lineage: a small universe created between a mother and daughter, held together by memory and light.

    All orders are prepared by hand in my studio and will be shipped before December 16th. Packaging is kept simple, thoughtful and protective of the work.

  • All books are shipped tracked from my studio.
