PROJECTS: STAY ANOTHER DAY

In his eyes I saw an unspoken sadness.

A silent pool of tears.

So prominent it shook the sturdy ground beneath me.

Invincible. I grew up believing he was.

But it is time. This intolerant enemy.

No always. No forever.

If only one more day...

This work is a tribute to my late grandfather, Labib El Husseiny. He passed away on December 9, 2007 at approximately 2 p.m. Cairo local time.
