- Honorable Mention, London International Creative Competition (LICC) for "Eve: A Portrait of Women in Male Dominated Societies".

- March 2009: Fervent Spirits selected to feature in ShadowPlay, the first festival of projected photography presented by The Takoma Park Arts and Humanities Commission. Under the theme, Borderlands, a selection of work from 12 US and international photographers will be showcased and accompanied with live musical performers.

- January 2009: Research fellow, University of Oxford, UK researching free speech in the Egyptian media (newspapers, satellite television and Internet blogs).

- Harper's Magazine: "The Mummy's Curse: An archaeological dispute."

2007

- exhibition LUCCA DIGITAL PHOTO FEST, Lucca, Italy.

- "Thailand: 9 Days in the Kingdom"exhibition at ZEN Event Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand.

- Focus on Monferrato, a 10-day project to document the region of Piemonte, north of Italy. The work will be featured in a traveling exhibition.

- one of 55 photographers participating in Thailand: 9 Days in the Kingdom, a book dedicated to the Thai King, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, on his 80th birthday.
